Hey everyone, its been a while since I posted. As the title says, I'm not dead, just working a lot. Everyone starts out in criminal law by doing DUIs, which is good because those cases are incredibly entertaining.
In any case, I hope everyone has been able to enjoy the time they've had to not think about the bar exam. Unfortunately, this is about the time people start thinking about the results. If you have any friends that took the bar exam in another jurisdiction, they will get their results before you. You will start to feel panicky with the release of each state's bar exam results. Perfectly normal. Irrational, but normal.
California is the last state to release it's results. Even worse, they release it just before Thanksgiving - in time to make or break your holidays. Use this last month to find a job to work in the unfortunate case that you fail. Retail jobs are great this time of the season because they are temporary and allow you to save some money so you will be able to take a second shot at the bar exam without working. Plus it has the added benefit of getting you away from the law so you don't think about whether you passed or failed.
